Manhole Covers & Frames

Polydrain’s manhole covers and frames finish the inspection chamber at ground level. They’re moulded in recycled polypropylene, so a 450mm cover and frame weighs around 6kg rather than the 30kg-plus of a comparable ductile iron unit, and one person can carry, set and secure it without lifting gear.

The range covers both chamber sizes in square and round formats. All units are load tested to BS EN 124 A15, with 15kN and 35kN test loads available depending on the duty required.

Every cover is secured with four locking screws and supplied with four blanking plugs, giving a flat, tamper-resistant finish. The enhanced tread pattern keeps the surface slip-resistant when wet. The covers suit gardens, driveways, housing developments, sports and leisure facilities and public realm, and they pair directly with MaxiChamber to provide a complete access and inspection solution.
