Why Silt Traps
Silt traps drop sediment out of the flow before it reaches a tank, soakaway, flow control or outfall, and collect it in a filter basket that lifts straight out of the chamber. Instead of jetting or vacuuming a sump, maintenance is a matter of lifting the lid, pulling the basket and tipping it.
Three chambers cover the range. The 320mm silt trap is 630mm deep with a 260mm sump and 110mm inlet and outlet, sized for domestic driveways and gardens. The 450mm silt trap and 450mm advanced silt trap are 825mm deep with a 330mm sump and 160mm inlet and outlet, for larger plots and commercial schemes; the advanced version adds a finer mesh filter for sites where leaf litter or fine sediment is the problem.
Lift-out filter basket
Debris is removed by hand from the surface, with no jetting or specialist equipment.
